The Linden Recognized in Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year Award

January 13, 2025

We’re honored to be featured in the most recent Best of Year Awards, held by Interior Design Magazine. The project was recognized for excellence in the multiunit housing category.

Conceived from the beginning as a response to the surrounding Museum District, The Linden is designed with a clarity of structure and use of refined materials. The interiors reflect a modern art museum quality with generous ceiling heights, travertine floors, concealed lighting, and open white walls adorned with curated and custom art pieces commissioned by local artists. A bespoke signage package utilizes these same materials to create a seamless language between branding and architecture.

The project consists of residences on the upper levels and a dedicated common amenity area at the 10th floor. A parking garage with custom metal screening is provided at the middle levels. A gracious lobby and gallery space are positioned at the ground level, providing an elevated experience for entering the building.

The units were designed with sophisticated and modern users in mind. Situated within walking distance to the Capitol building, University of Texas at Austin campus, and neighboring courthouses, the building offers a quieter side of downtown living for academics and law professionals. The interiors feature custom corridor carpet with oak door entries and limewashed walls. The units have two color palette options, one with a natural oak, and the other with a dark stained oak. Several custom finishes were offered to buyers, including a series of marble counters and parquet and herringbone wood floors. All units boast natural stone tile in their bathrooms and custom mirrors and floating sink cabinets. Each unit was planned to take advantage of the best views of Austin, some focused on downtown, others on UT campus, and unobstructed views of the dense greenery or hill country.

We’re grateful for a strong collaboration and partnership with the project team to create The Linden:
