Rev
College Station, TX | 2023 19 stories | 300,000 sf | 298 units | 802 beds Scope: Architecture
Rev was made possible through a ground lease and collaboration with the University Lutheran Chapel, a long-standing fixture in the Bryan-College Station community. Nestled in the popular Northgate district, Rev is minutes from Texas A&M University's campus and is designed with the aim of enhancing the student living experience with innovative amenities. The 200-foot tower is not only the tallest tower in College Station, but also between Austin and Houston.
Occupying half of a city block, the building's architecture is a direct response to the site's shape and zoning requirements, yielding a unique result of rounded corners and flowing edges along the public-facing facades of the building. The project features a unit mix of efficient studios to expansive six-bedroom units, including two-story townhomes. The interior courtyard and pool deck is carved from the center of the building's form with a façade that opens toward campus in a lively and playful yet elegant array of varying, colored panels.
