Rhode partners ventures west

In early March of this year, the Rhode Partners staff headed West for a team getaway. We visited the home designed by Larry Doll that accentuates natural materials with adobe bricks, expansive windows, and wood finishes. Laura Doll, Larry’s wife of 47 years, treated us to Marfa gems and stories about the late architect.
The team then explored the Chinati Foundation and garnered inspiration from Donald Judd’s work and local artists alike. Our desert tour concluded with a staff retreat to Cibolo Creek Ranch, a historical site converted into a hotel that connects the wide landscape with 19th century architecture.
