Floodgate apartments underway in san antonio

Construction is underway on Floodgate, a uniquely modern 17 story apartment building next to the historic Esquire Tavern on the San Antonio River Walk.

Combining old and new, Floodgate Apartments preserves a stretch of historic stone flood wall and incorporates it into 15,000 SF of restaurant space. By pulling back off the Esquire Tavern building, a new entrance to the River Walk is created, breathing new energy into one of the most visible corners in downtown San Antonio.

Among the amenities in the sleek octagonal tower are a fifth-floor pool and dog park, and automated parking system. The project is slated to complete in 2022.
