College Station Student Housing Project Breaks Ground
October 20, 2021
A new student housing project designed by Rhode Partners broke ground today, which will bring 298 units and 300,000 of rentable square footage to the college town home to Texas A&M University. Walkable to campus, the project sits on College Main Avenue just behind College Station’s entertainment district, Northgate, as well as minutes from historic Downtown Bryan.
The building’s design is informed by dramatic, rounded street corners on the North, West, and East sides. A language of curvatures along these sides creates a flowing, undulating façade. At level seven, an amenity deck with an open courtyard and pool allows for views to the South toward the university. Other programmed amenities will include study and conferences rooms, a fitness facility, club room, and The University Student Lutheran Center incorporated on the ground floor.
The project is slated to complete for the 2023 Fall semester. When finished, the 19-story high rise will be the tallest building in Bryan/College Station standing at 197 feet.
